About Us

FlexWash was started by two brothers who grew up working at their family car wash and thought they could help more than just their family’s business. But there’s more to it than that.

After working at the family wash all through high school (dad needed cheap labor he could trust) they went off to college where they earned technical degrees in computer science. With their newly developed skills and education they began to apply their trade at various companies (many you’ve probably heard of) in deeply technical capacities. They learned from some of the best engineers and software professionals in the United States.

When they decided to settle down and start families they came back to Temecula. They quickly saw how their skills could help the family business run the family car wash better.

They saw how pay stations were, for certain car wash applications, a good fit but at many sites they were not as effective as an attendant with a tablet.

At first, they built a software application just for their family business. They quickly identified a hardware platform that was off-the-shelf and one that could run Android software. Once they started using it at the wash, word spread quickly and they started getting calls from other car washes wanting the same kiosk-free solution.

Chirag and Karan knew they were on to something. They knew you didn’t need a $30,000 kiosk standing next to a car wash employee who was tasked with selling. Not only was that redundant, it was the most expensive point of sale you could think of. Obviously, there are cases where a kiosk can make sense but, by far, they knew human interaction trumps technology.

Today FlexWash is growing faster than they could have imagined. Today FlexWash is on a mission to help car washes, like their family car wash to be more successful, have their teams be more effective and to do it all without charging owners an arm and a leg.
